Dear John,

Further to our e-mail exchange last week, I quote from your e-mail to Alex Hughes, my Head of School, dated 23rd March:

» Subject: RE: RE websites

» Alex - thank you for your note. We certainly do not wish any
» action we take regarding the personal web site policy to impact
» on student learning activities. With this in mind I am happy to
» defer any action on sites in the School of Humanities until
» after your IT Committee has met and made recommendations.

Prof. Hughes has stated that the School has not yet made such recommendations. Therefore, I expect the Web Team to honour the commitment made in your e-mail above, and restore access to my web pages under web.bham.ac.uk/sue_blackwell. If a complaint has been made about a particular page (and I am still awaiting the details of this), the proper thing to do is to investigate whether there is any basis in it, which should not affect any of the other pages on the site.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Yours,

Sue Blackwell
